AGENDA and DISCUSSION
1) JOE:
Two approaches to pipeline resistance: local and regional.
A- Local ( Rights Based Ordinance) CELDF contact, Ben Price will participate in a conference call with anyone interested. Potential dates are: 12/18, 12/19, 12/22, 1/5, 1/6. ( PLEASE LET ROSEANNA KNOW YOUR PREFERRED DATE)
( Roseanna, what time will the call be?)
Donnie Evans and Stephen Miller are interested.
B- Regional: (contacts) Patty and Dino Klepos, Cooks Run, close to proposed MVP. They have contacts with Blacksburg residents, VT faculty, have an organic company and experience with blocking a nuclear storage facility in Wyoming. Their recommendation:
Ideally, the entire corridor could hire a DC law firm, using collected monies for this purpose, to do research re: the reality that a private corporation endeavors to make substantial money through an effort that has nothing to do with public need or eminent domain.

Mark Blumenstein suggested to Joe that we hold a corridor meeting to develop strategies as well as obtaining local participation to address local issues.
Suggested website: preservethenrv.com. ( hosted by Will and Angela Stanton from Giles)
You can access a MVP resistance series of 5 videos made by Mario Colmano and his wife, Frieda.
Their documentary is ongoing and focuses on the struggle.
( hopefully they’ll meet with Laurie and Nancy on Thurs. 12/18)
